New adventures announced for 2012!
Hello Adventurers,
What a year 2011 has been for us at Discovery Adventures. We have brought more people than ever face to face with elephants, lions and rhinos while on safari in Africa, mingled with locals in rural villages, street markets and artisan shops in Latin America and Asia, and shared traditional meals with families around the world. We have been working hard on creating more of these inspiring adventures and as the 2011 season winds down, it’s time to reveal our exciting 2012 line-up.
In the spirit of Discovery Channel programming, we’re going to channel your curiosity and quench your thirst for adventure. The 6 new tours include some of the most renowned historical and archeological sites in the world. As always, taste buds will be tempted with local flavors and new friends will be made. Without further delay, here is our new line-up.
Spirit of Nepal: Unravel the mysteries of a land famed for its ancient spirituality, friendly people and towering mountain peaks. We’ll search for tigers in Chitwan National Park from the back of an elephant, observe fascinating customs and rituals at Buddhist and Hindu Temples and take day hikes into local mountain villages to see how people have lived for centuries.
Cultural Treasures of Vietnam: Treasured culture, stunning scenery, turbulent history—Vietnam has the perfect set of ingredients for adventure travel and this trip is the recipe that brings them all together. From the backwaters of the Mekong Delta to the hustle and bustle of Saigon, immerse yourself in dynamic Vietnam.
Wonders of Jordan: Never heard of Wadi Rum or the lost city of Petra? You’re missing out. Visiting Jordan is, hands-down, an adventure travelers dream. Explore the archeological site of Petra, visit a crusader’s castle, float in the Dead Sea and overnight at a tented camp in the desert. Timeless, transcendent, tremendous—need we say more?
Archeological Wonders of Egypt and Jordan: If Jordan is not enough to sate your adventurous spirit, then add Egyptian temples and pyramids to the mix.
